If you want to travel on a budget to Europe in general, realize that it’s where and when you want to travel and how you want to get there as well as where you are going to stay.
 
You could try to travel in seasons that are not as in demand such as avoid traveling in the summer, if you’re planning to go to Europe. –If you choose a time that is not is in demand, you can set aside some money on your tickets,  accommodations, and other tourist attractions.  Be prepared for stormy weather with snow or rain if you travel in the winter.  And this means travel delays.

Do some research online for airline reservations on websites such as Travelocity, CheapOAir and Orbitz, for example.  Keep in mind airline prices fluctuate wildly at times no matter if the fares are domestic or international.  Check out the prices for an unpopular time of year for several days, if you want to save some money.  If you find a low price, take it as the price can go up anytime.

Before you leave, decide on a daily budget on what to spend.  If you intend to spend $30.00 to $40.00 a day USD, it should be enough for a frugal traveler traveling anywhere---if you are careful. Important:  check out the currency exchange for your currency and where the country you’re going before you leave so you have an idea what to spend and how much money to bring with you.

You don’t need to spend as much on where you’re staying, if you’re there for sightseeing, touring and walking.   As you are in a safe and secure place, where you’re are staying is less important as you will not be intending to spend most of your time in a room in another country as a tourist.
Instead, save your money from your accommodations and use it on food, tourist attractions, and anything you might want to buy.  Unless you get sick, where you’re staying won’t be as important.

If you want to go to Europe, visit beautiful Eastern European countries like Bulgaria or Hungary which cost much less than the other European countries like the United Kingdom, France, or Germany, for example.  These countries have many interesting spots to see, lots of wonderful shops, great food, and a rich and varied culture.

Public transportation such as the bus or train are a great way to go. You can rent a car cheaply if you find the right agency.  And no matter where you go, tour companies often pick up groups of people at hotels with half day or an entire day tour. Walking of course, is the cheapest way to go as you can discover many pleasant sights and sounds (not to mention restaurants).
